Almost all the shore based tours offered on the cruise ships are also available dockside by independent tour operators like Island Wings. The flightseeing tours we offer are longer in duration than those offered on the ships, less expensive and far more personal!
 
  

 

 

Why we are different...

Island Wings is one of the only air taxi operators offering shore stops on Misty Fiords flights and a variety of other options. Additionally, Island Wings is one of the only air taxi operators offering headsets with voice communications between pilot and passengers so you can chat in flight and ask questions as we fly. Deposit and Pick up information...

A 50% deposit is required to hold your reservation. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll still meet you on the dock to refund your money. Transportation to and from the cruise ship dock and our floatplane facility is included in all tour prices. The pickup place for all of our tours is at the "Ketchikan Rain Gauge" (a tall cartoon type structure with current rainfall information) located alongside the Ketchikan Visitor's Bureau. A location for tourist information, this building is small but centrally located in the middle of the cruise ship dock. We also have a sales booth located inside the Ketchikan Visitor's Bureau. The Island Wings Air Service van is white and clearly labeled with airplanes and our name.  We will pick you up and drop you off right at the rain gauge.  We are the closest air taxi business to the cruise ship dock, about a 2 minute drive or a 5 minute walk from berths 1-3 and about a 30 second walk or swim from berth 4!
