My husband and I wanted to thank you for taking us to Anan Creek. We were the last ones to go this year on July 31st. It was the highlight of our vacation.  I will recommend you on the Cruise Critic web site whole heartedly!  Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

The one hour tour visits the fjords, lakes and scenic mountains of Revilliagegedo Island, the island on which Ketchikan is located.  Revilliagegedo has some spectacular scenery and the eastern third of the island is the western portion of the Misty Fjords National Monument.   This tour can include a short lake landing as well. Flying within the Misty Fjords is truly an emotional experience you’ll never forget!

The two hour Misty Fjords Tour takes you across Revilliagegedo Island over to the fjords of the Alaskan mainland, the heart of the monument.  The two hour tour includes views of sheer granite mountains, high alpine lakes, and endless stretches of old growth forests.  The trip includes a landing on a lake or fjord with a 25 to 30 minute stop at the shore to take in the pristine beauty of this area.

In July and early August combine our Misty Fjords tour with a guided 4 to 5 hour Anan Creek Bear Viewing tour. Anan Creek hosts one of the largest pink salmon runs in Southeast Alaska. The presence of the salmon draws a large dinner crowd, including both black and brown bears, seals, river otters, mink, marten and eagles.

Between August 1st and September 30th you can visit the bear viewing observatory at Traitors Cove. Bears can be seen as they plunge into the rushing water to retrieve their meals of spawning salmon.

Combination Misty Fjord and Bear Viewing tours are available from July until the end of September. The prices vary depending on length and observatory locations. Please contact us for more information.

Whale Watching Adventures

This tour combines highlights of all the other tours we offer rolled into one. Wildlife, whales, spectacular scenery, glaciers, and a shore stop in a quaint fishing village.

Here is a Picture from the flight….I was able to get the bubble net feeding. Thanks again!

Shortly after departing Ketchikan, you’ll flyover a sea lion colony at Grindall Island. From there we proceed north to Frederick Sound where the largest congregations of humpback whales spend their summer months feeding. You’ll see them from above and, weather permitting, land near a pod to watch them from sea level. Their massive lengths and graceful moves are a delight to watch.

After the whales we’ll fly to the Norwegian settlement of Petersburg for lunch and tour the fishing fleet. On the return flight we will fly over the LeConte Glacier and its iceberg filled bay. A view of the Stikine River valley and the return flight back to Ketchikan top this off as a trip of simply the best that Southeast Alaska has to offer!

This tour includes up to 6 hours combined flight time and stopovers in Petersburg and Whale Watching. Due to whale migration patterns this excursion is offered in July, August and September. The price varies depending on number of passengers and the length of the trip. Please contact us if you would like more information.
