Flights to and from just about anywhere in Southeast can be arranged to suit your
specific needs. Prince Rupert BC, Prince of Whales Island, Wrangell, and Petersburg are just a few of the communities where we take clients.
Whether your needs are for business or pleasure,
Island Wings Air Service can customize a flight for you.
We also offer air transportation to and from the Ketchikan
International Airport to any number of remote hunting and fishing lodges on Prince of Wales Island and surrounding areas.
Should you be sailing through the area on your own and a day trip into the Misty
Fjords or a full day of fly fishing on an isolated mountain lake is what you craving, we can pick you up from your vessel and take you wherever you desire.
Many clients combine our most popular flightseeing
tour to Misty Fjords with one of our Bear Viewing tours during July, August and September.
My husband and I wanted to thank you for taking us to Anan Creek. We were the last ones to go this year on July 31st. It was the highlight of our vacation. I will recommend you on the Cruise Critic web site whole heartedly! Thank you again for a wonderful experience.

The two hour Misty Fjords Tour takes you across Revilliagegedo
Island over to the fjords of the Alaskan mainland, the heart of the monument. The two hour tour includes views of sheer granite mountains, high alpine lakes, and endless stretches of old growth forests. The trip includes a landing on a lake or fjord with a 25 to 30 minute stop at the shore to take in the pristine beauty of this area.
In July and early August combine our Misty Fjords tour with a
guided four to five hour Anan Creek Bear Viewing tour. Anan Creek hosts one of the largest pink salmon runs in Southeast Alaska.
Between August 1st and September 30th
you can combine our Misty Fjords tour with a visit to the bear viewing observatory at Traitors Cove. Bears can be seen as they plunge into the rushing water to retrieve their meals of spawning salmon.
Island Wings offers a shorter tour for those with time restrictions. Our one hour tour
visits the fjords, lakes and scenic mountains of Revilliagegedo Island, the island on which Ketchikan is located. Revilliagegedo has some spectacular scenery and the eastern third of the island is the western portion of the Misty Fjords National Monument. This tour can include a short lake landing as well. Flying within the Misty Fjords is truly an emotional experience you’ll never forget!
If your schedule is flexible and you have a sense of adventure, call us, we'd be more
than happy to tailor a trip off the beaten path just for you. With over 2.3 million acres to work with there's no problem getting away from it all.
This tour combines highlights of all the other tours we offer
rolled into one. Wildlife, whales, spectacular scenery, glaciers, and a shore stop in a quaint fishing village.
Shortly after departing Ketchikan, you’ll flyover a sea lion colony at Grindall Island.
From there we proceed north to Frederick Sound where the largest congregations of humpback whales spend their summer months feeding. You’ll see them from above and, weather permitting, land near a pod to watch them from sea level. Their massive lengths and graceful moves are a delight to watch.
After the whales we’ll fly to the Norwegian settlement of
Petersburg for lunch and tour the fishing fleet. On the return flight we will fly over the LeConte Glacier and its iceberg filled bay. A view of the Stikine River valley and the return flight back to Ketchikan top this off as a trip of simply the best that Southeast Alaska has to offer!
This tour includes up to 6 hours combined flight time and stopovers
in Petersburg and Whale Watching. Due to whale migration patterns this excursion is offered in July, August and September. The price varies depending on number of passengers and the length of the trip. Please contact us if you would like more information.
Here is a Picture from the flight….I was able to get the bubble net feeding. Thanks again!
